The Goodwill Industries Foundation of Central Indiana was founded in 1971 to assist Goodwill Industries in establishing and expanding vocational, educational and other workforce services. During the past three decades, the Goodwill Industries Foundation has become a major financial contributor to Goodwill's services that support the constantly changing needs of the central Indiana workforce.

Contributions to the Goodwill Industries Foundation further strengthen Goodwill's efforts to help adults and young people improve their education, skills, employability and economic self-sufficiency.

The Goodwill Guild celebrated 60 years of service to Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana, Inc., at a special luncheon on May 21. Members attended a special luncheon in their honor and heard an update about Goodwill from Jim McClelland, Goodwill President, and listened to updates on Indianapolis Metropolitan High School and other initiatives from Scott Bess and Carlotta Cooprider.  The members reminisced about past Guild activities, reviewed pictures from Goodwill Fashion Shows, and received a memory book with pictures chronicling the Guild’s 60 years of service to Goodwill.  The day concluded with a tour of Indianapolis Metropolitan High School.
