Adult Basic Education (ABE) and GED/ASVAB Test Preparation
The Adult Basic Education class offers individualized instruction in reading, math and writing skills, as well as General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test preparation.

Case Management and Support Services
Assistance with housing, transportation, money management, and physical and mental health is offered to ensure that an individual is ready to enter the workforce and maintain employment.

Community Based Evaluation
Job-seekers are given an opportunity to try working in different industries to help them discover the kind of work they would enjoy.

Customized Employment/Supported Self-Employment Programs
The Customized Employment Program (Marion County only) and Supported Self-Employment Program (Shelby County and Hancock County only) assist individuals with disabilities in becoming self-employed. Individuals receive training, assistance developing a business plan and on-going case management support.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are designed to help adults with limited English skills develop a vocabulary which they can use in everyday personal, social and job situations.

EVOLVE
The Educational Vocational Opportunities and Lifelong Learning through Various work Experiences (EVOLVE) Program assists adults who have not been able to obtain or maintain employment by providing them with the skills necessary to prepare for long-term employment. The program offers a paid internship component, a classroom component and case management support services. It is designed to assist individuals with significant barriers to employment, and those transitioning off public assistance, reenter the workforce.

Resource Centers
Goodwill has a variety of job search materials and resources available for job seekers participating in employment services. Services include: Computers for writing résumés and cover letters, access to the Internet and computerized job banks, telephones for employer contacts, the latest job openings and company profiles.

Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) provides job training and placement for people with limited financial resources who are age 55 or older, and provides employers with trained, motivated workers.

Supported Employment
Individuals with disabilities receive intensive, individualized assistance finding and keeping jobs. Counseling, paid on-the-job training and job-retention services are available.

Transitional Employment
Employment opportunities and work experience are available through Goodwill's Commercial Services Division. Individuals are hired as employees of Goodwill and may work in a variety of settings. The goal of transitional employment is to give individuals work experience so that they are able to transition into other jobs that will allow them to be more self-sufficient.

Veterans Services
Goodwill helps veterans along the road to self-sufficiency through individual training and help finding and landing jobs. For veterans with disabilities, Goodwill staff can help find jobs that fit veteran's abilities and devise ways to make jobs accessible to them.

Work Experience
Individuals in Work Experience develop work skills in an industrial setting at Goodwill while working with a case manager to develop an individual program plan to identify and achieve their personal goals.

Youth Services
A team of Goodwill staff is dedicated to helping young people explore career fields, learn job-finding skills and find the support from other agencies they need to succeed in life and work.
